Regional Air Lines

Régional was created in March 2001 through the merger of Flandre Air, Proteus Airlines and Regional Airlines. The company’s network serves around 20 French cities and 26 other European cities. With headquarters in Nantes, Régional has two maintenance sites: Clermont-Ferrand and Lille.

A European network composed of 3 types of flights:
• Transversal flights: they link major French and European cities
Examples: Lille-Nantes, Bordeaux-Marseilles, Toulouse-Rome, Nantes-Geneva, Strasbourg-Toulouse…

• Lines serving Air France hubs, Paris and Lyon.
Examples: Paris-Bremen, Lyons-Pau, Lyon-Venice, Paris-Aberdeen, Lyons-Lorient...

• Lines serving Regional hubs with connections in Clermont-Ferrand and Bordeaux airport.
Examples: Biarritz-Clermont–Brussels, Nantes-Bordeaux-Barcelone, Strasbourg-Bordeaux-Lisbonne et Bordeaux-Clermont-Milan...

The Régional fleet is very modern: the average age of the aircraft is 9 years and 5 months. 52 are 37 to 100 seat jets, and 9 are 30 seat turbo-prop aircraft (winter 2006/2007).

The Régional clientele is made up as much by business people on daily business trips with precise schedules as by passengers travelling for leisure or family reasons. The latter benefit from a variety of appropriate fares: special offers, young persons/ senior citizens / family fares?). All passengers can benefit from the « Flying Blue » frequent flyer programme.

Air transport Certificate renewed for a further 3 years (maximum period)
The October 31th 2005, Régional received its Air Transporter's Certificate from the Department of Civil Aviation. Renewed for a further 3 years, through to 31 October 2008, it takes over from the certificate granted in october 2002, already for 3 years. The Maintenance Department was also granted agreement (Part M), concerning the follow-up of the navigability of our aircraft.

With the entry into service in 2003 of the European Aviation Safety Agency, airline companies were to have undergone work to meet the conditions set by the aeronautical regulation. Régional has received certifications PART 145 and PART 147. They replace certifications JAR 145 and JAR 147. These certifications are indispensable to the operating of the company: PART 145 authorises the maintenance of its aircraft and PART 147 to train its own maintenance personnel.

Régional also disposes of TRTO (Type Rating Training Organisation) agreement allowing it to issue PNT (Flight Deck Crew) type qualifications. This certification was renewed on 1 July 2005 for a period of 3 years (maximum period).
